HDScores is built on the fact that every food service establishment gets a health department inspection. No matter the establishments’s shape or size, purpose, risk category or geography they are required by law to be inspected anywhere from 1-6 times a year. (At least in the US, Canada & the UK.) We believe by answering the question “How clean are the establishments we frequent?”, HDScores will be creating transparency in the currently fractured systems and creating a better industry for consumers and establishment and inspectors.
HDScores believe in these basic set of requirements for doing business with publicly available data.
Data Integrity comes down to Data Accuracy, before gaining insight and building a plan of action based on Big Data, it’s important to know that we can trust this data to make the right decisions. While this might seem like a daunting exercise, we have taken a few fairly achievable steps to do so. Then maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the data during use.
a. We source data from only trusted sources: trust matters.
b. We rely on data from partnerships.
If and when in doubt, we ask around and look for data validation that our sources and partnerships can provide. We are not shy about getting more information from our partners and data providers.
